Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc. is seeking a Transport Coordinator to organise and coordinate all aspects of the transport function within the depot, providing key support to the Depot Manager.

Responsibilities include delivery and collection of equipment, fuel scheduling, booking external haulage, and staff management. The role requires experience in fast-paced transport/logistics administration, strong communication and organisational skills, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a fast paced administrative role within transport/logistics, ideally gained within the plant/tool hire industry.
• Proven ability to take ownership and responsibility with the confidence to resolve issues quickly and effectively
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• High level of computer literacy
• Full driving licence
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Organise and coordinate all aspects of the transport function within the depot.
• Provide key support to the Depot Manager.
• Handle delivery and collections of equipment and fuel scheduling.
• Book external haulage and arrange purchase orders.
• Manage staff and training; maintain product knowledge.
• Arrange upkeep of all vehicles.
