Job summary

Protocol Education in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils across primary and secondary settings. You will travel between school locations, assist with lessons, small groups, and 1:1 support, ensuring inclusive delivery.

The role involves helping pupils with SEN, SEMH, and other learning needs, promoting engagement, confidence and progress, and assisting with daily routines while building positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant.
• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
• Working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
• Providing support for pupils with SEND, SEMH, and additional learning needs.
• Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and progress.
• Assisting with classroom management and daily school routines.
• Building positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents
