Job summary

The Woodlands Community Primary School in Tamworth is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a whole class, small groups and 1:1 interventions. The role requires initiative, flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team to support pupil progress.

Candidates should have experience with primary aged children (KS1/KS2), strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of assessment techniques. The post is fixed-term for term time only, starting as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with primary aged children within a school setting, preferably KS1 and/or KS2.
• Confidence in dealing with pupils with different abilities.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a wider team.
• Knowledge of basic assessment techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist the whole class and take small groups or 1:1 support.
• Support lesson delivery and adapt activities as needed.
