Job summary

Tyldesley Primary School is seeking a highly motivated teaching assistant to join our enthusiastic team and support pupils across learning activities. You will work with the class teacher to deliver quality first teaching, support groups, and assist with ICT-enabled learning, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.

The post is term-time, 34.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, and temporary for 12 months from start date. Immediate start available for a dedicated candidate.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification.
• Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
• Willing to engage in further training.
• Willing to help with self-care skills if needed.
• Commitment to safeguarding children.
• Ability to use ICT to support learning.
• Nurture, inspire and motivate pupils and align with school values.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils and contribute to high-quality teaching alongside the class teacher.
• Assist with learning activities and small-group/individual support as needed.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare arrangements for pupils under your supervision.
