Job summary

Marston’s PLC is seeking a Sous Chef to join our team and lead by example in delivering high-quality dishes on the pass. You’ll act as second in command to the Head Chef, stepping in when needed and guiding the kitchen during service.

You’ll oversee the kitchen team, help develop skills, and maintain the highest standards of food and service while working in a supportive, people-focused pub environment.

Qualifications

• Offer previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef.
• Assist our Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Accountable for running the line during service.
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team - helping to develop their skills.

Responsibilities

• Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift.
• Run the line during service and ensure quality and consistency.
• Support and develop kitchen teammates to improve skills and performance.
