Job summary

Vision for Education is looking to appoint a part time Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work in a primary school in the Stockton area. This role is 2-3 days a week from 8:30am to 3:30pm, combining 1:1 support in a SEND base with small group interventions, starting November 2026 and continuing long term until July 2027.

The candidate should hold a Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning.

Qualifications

Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching & learning in schools.
Experience in a SEND environment would be essential to the role.
Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.
Experience supporting smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Have experience supporting children in primary education.

Responsibilities

Provide high standard of support for a small group of KS1/2 children for interventions and 1:1 within a SEND base.
Be flexible to changing environments and working within small intervention groups.
Support the class teacher in delivering targeted activities and track progress.
