Job summary

Aspire People is supporting a Derby school in its search for an SEN/Primary teacher with SEN experience. The role covers KS1 and KS2 in a fast-paced environment with some challenging behaviour. A trial teaching period will allow the school to assess fit and capability.

The successful candidate will hold QTS and demonstrate a strong commitment to SEN pupils, with excellent communication and teamwork. The position is full-time and starts as soon as possible.

Qualifications

  • SEN experience with pupils across KS1/KS2.
  • Qualified teacher with QTS and SEN expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and families.
  • Strong behaviour management and resilience for challenging behavior.
  • Initiative, problem-solving and proactive planning.
  • Teamwork with teachers, TAs and specialists.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Teach KS1 and KS2, including pupils with SEN.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to support learning.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and parents to support outcomes.
