Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is seeking a Secondary Supply Teacher to provide flexible short-term and long-term cover across several local secondary schools. You will deliver high-quality lessons using pre-prepared plans and adapt to different subjects and year groups while maintaining a positive, well-managed classroom.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, proven secondary teaching experience, and strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Experience teaching in secondary schools.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Ability to engage pupils quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons using pre-prepared plans.
• Teach across your subject specialism at KS3 and KS4 where required.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners.
• Support pupils’ engagement and progress during cover periods.
• Provide feedback to teaching and pastoral staff on pupil behaviour and learning.
• Contribute positively to the wider school environment during supply placements.
