Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring students to develop science skills.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to engage and motivate pupils.
• Commitment to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Proactive professional development and teamwork.
• Good understanding of assessment strategies and using data to support progress.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Use varied teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs and support progress.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department to enhance delivery.
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations, and support safeguarding and inclusion.
