Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking qualified science teachers to support a network of secondary schools. You will deliver KS3/KS4 lessons in Biology or Physics and foster practical, enquiry-based learning.

Roles are available full-time or part-time, term-time only, with daily pay of £140–£233 and weekly pay. DBS checks and safeguarding commitment are essential.

A QTS or equivalent qualification and a science-related degree are required.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or equivalent (ECTs encouraged)
• Science-related degree (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science)
• Engaging communicator with teenagers
• Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to apply) and safeguarding commitment

Responsibilities

• Expert lesson delivery across KS3/KS4 with engaging demonstrations and theory-based lessons
• Support GCSE/A-Level preparation with practicals, data analysis and applied science
• Maintain a disciplined, safe classroom and lab environment
• Differentiate complex concepts for SEND/EAL to ensure accessibility of big ideas
