Job summary

Veritas Education is partnering with a Bradford secondary school to recruit a PE Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting January 2027 (or sooner for the right candidate). You will deliver engaging PE Lessons across KS3/KS4, with KS5 desirable, plan and assess per the national curriculum and support sport and wellbeing across the school.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for sport
• Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Is committed to encouraging participation and achievement for all students
• Possesses strong communication and organisational skills
• ECTs are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Promote participation, fitness, and student wellbeing
• Teach a range of sports and physical activities
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and student engagement
• Support extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and sporting events
• Monitor and assess student progress
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and PE department
