Justteachers Ltd is assisting a supportive secondary school in Spalding to recruit a dedicated PE Teacher for a long-term, full-time supply role starting September 2026. You will teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons aligned with the department's schemes of work.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, UK secondary PE experience, strong knowledge across sports, and the ability to motivate pupils of all abilities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
• Experience teaching PE in a UK secondary school is required
• Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical education activities
• Ability to engage and motivate pupils of all abilities
• Confidence working within an established department and following schemes of work
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills
• Reliable and flexible approach to long-term supply work
• Two recent education-based references are required

Responsibilities

• Teach PE across KS3 and KS4 following departmental planning
• Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
• Encourage participation, teamwork and positive attitudes towards sport
• Adapt lesson delivery to meet diverse learner needs
• Maintain high behaviour and safety standards
• Support extracurricular sports activities and school events
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with PE colleagues
