Aspire People is actively recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Walsall and surrounding areas. The role suits experienced supervisors, teaching assistants, graduates, or those with youth-work backgrounds seeking a path into education.

You will supervise classes, deliver pre-set work, and help maintain a positive learning environment while supporting students' learning and behaviour management. This role offers flexible patterns and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
• Reliable, professional and adaptable.
• Passionate about education and supporting young people.
• Able to build positive relationships with students.
• Calm and confident when managing behaviour.
• Available for regular or flexible work.
• Experience in schools desirable but not essential; tutoring/youth work also considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain engaged.
• Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Supporting students with their learning where appropriate.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
