Aspire People are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Walsall and the surrounding areas.

Whether you are an experienced Cover Supervisor, a Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step, a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or simply have strong experience working with young people, we want to hear from you.

The Role

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain engaged.
• Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Supporting students with their learning where appropriate.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons.

We are looking for Cover Supervisors who are:

• Confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
• Reliable, professional and adaptable.
• Passionate about education and supporting young people.
• Able to build positive relationships with students.
• Calm and confident when managing behaviour.
• Comfortable working across different school environments.
• Available for regular or flexible work.
• Previous experience working in a school is desirable but not essential. Experience in tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work or other roles involving young people will also be considered.
