Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across Camden. You will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring lessons run smoothly using pre-set work provided by staff.

The role offers flexible daily supply opportunities with competitive rates and ongoing support from a dedicated Aspire People consultant. DBS updates and right-to-work in the UK are required; ideal for graduates or those with youth work experience

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in schools, youth work, coaching or mentoring.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence working independently with groups of 11–16 year olds.
• Professional, flexible and proactive approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across key stages 3 and 4 during teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students complete assigned work.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
• Support schools with day-to-day, short-term and long-term cover.
