Qualifications

• Has previous school-based experience, ideally as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar.
• Alternatively, is a graduate with a genuine interest in developing a career in education.
• Is confident managing a classroom and maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can deliver pre-prepared lessons and keep students engaged in learning.
• Is resilient, organised and adaptable.
• Builds positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the usual teacher, deliver pre-prepared work and ensure students remain focused and engaged with their learning.
• You will work across different subjects and year groups, providing valuable support to the wider teaching team.
