Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary school in Huyton to recruit experienced Cover Supervisors for full and part-time roles. You will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff, maintain a positive learning environment and uphold high behaviour standards.

Ideal candidates will have strong behaviour management, confidence, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cover Supervisor or working in a secondary school (essential).
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain control of the classroom.
• Confident, calm and professional approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 using pre-set work.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
• Ensuring students remain on task and engaged in learning.
• Following school behaviour policies and reporting incidents accurately.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
• Supporting the wider school team as required.
