Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and GCSE Science specifications.
• Eligibility to work full-time in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Assess, record, and report on student development and attainment across KS3 and KS4.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement.
• Adapt learning materials and teaching strategies to meet diverse needs, including SEND.
• Conduct safe, practical laboratory experiments adhering to COSHH and safety policies.
• Prepare KS4 students for GCSE examinations through targeted revision and practice assessments.
• Serve as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral guidance and supporting wellbeing.
• Participate in departmental meetings, cross-curricular projects, and parent events.
• Continuously track pupil performance to identify gaps and target interventions.
