Job summary

Bedford College Group is seeking a Lecturer - Science (Qualified) to join the team at Bedford College Cauldwell Street Campus. You will plan and deliver high-quality science teaching, assess student work and support progression across a range of courses.

The role requires a PGCE/Cert Ed and a degree in science or related field, with additional willingness to gain teaching qualifications. A focus on safeguarding, inclusion and continual professional development is essential.

Qualifications

Teacher Qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) and degree in science or related field.
GCSE English and Maths.
Ability to teach biology, chemistry and other science subjects.

Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning Delivery - plan and deliver high-quality teaching across a range of courses.
Assessment & Student Progress - assess, verify and monitor student work to award body standards.
Curriculum Development & Innovation - develop up-to-date schemes of work and learning materials.
Student Support & Behaviour - guide and support students to achieve their potential.
Administration & Compliance - complete course administration and contribute to quality processes.
