Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is recruiting an experienced Lecturer in Health and Science to join our modern regional campus in the United Kingdom. You will teach and support students across Health and Science programmes, helping them gain the knowledge and confidence to progress to higher education or employment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare innovative schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment schedules.
  • Carry out practical experiments linking to the specification to support learners.
  • Plan and deliver learning programmes for diverse groups in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Support students' academic, personal, and professional development, overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Bring vocational knowledge to enhance teaching and learning, aligning with sector expectations.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and interventions.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and maintain high teaching standards.

Lecturer - Health and Science

Do you have a Level 3 qualification or higher in a Health or Science-related subject? Are you looking for the next step in your career?

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated, and forward-thinking individual as a Lecturer in Health and Science.

Working at our modern regional campus, you will be responsible for teaching and supporting students across a range of Health and Science programmes, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to progress into higher education or employment. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering biology, chemistry, and physics up to Level 2.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare innovative schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment schedules that engage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Carry out practical experiments linking to the specification to support learners to achieve their qualification.
  • Plan and deliver highly effective learning programmes for diverse groups of learners in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
  • Support students' academic, personal, and professional development, working creatively to overcome individual barriers to learning.
  • Bring relevant vocational or industry knowledge to enhance teaching and learning, ensuring programmes remain current and aligned with sector expectations.
  • Monitor student progress effectively and provide timely feedback and interventions to support achievement, retention, and progression.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and play an active role in maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
