Job summary

Leigh Academy Tonbridge is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support learning during teacher absence, PPA periods, trips, and short-term leave. You will supervise classrooms, deliver instructions, and help keep students engaged with the work set by class teachers.

This role is ideal for those considering Teacher Training, offering insight into a school's day-to-day operations and various subject/classroom settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee classrooms during periods of teacher absence and during PPA cover.
• Deliver clear instructions and ensure students remain engaged with work set by teachers.
• Provide general queries support and feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
• Note that you will not be responsible for planning lessons or formal assessment of progress.
