Job summary

Engage Partners Limited is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a Basildon secondary school. You’ll supervise lessons, cover planned and unplanned absences, and help pupils complete work during PPA time or sickness cover.

The role welcomes applicants with a degree and some experience with young people. You’ll need adaptability, strong classroom management, and effective communication to manage varied class dynamics.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree to apply.
• Experience with young people is desirable.
• Able to remain personable and adapt to varied situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervising students and ensuring they complete set tasks.
• Managing behaviour to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assisting pupils when they have questions.
• Following the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies.
• Collecting the completed work and handing it to the Head of the Department.
• Providing feedback on the lesson and pupils.
