Job summary

The John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across schools in Burton-on-Trent and the surrounding areas. Start date is as soon as possible, with salary from £82.62 to £95.43 per day depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Enhanced DBS: on Update Service or willing to apply for one.
• Strong communication, organisational and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to work confidently across different subjects and environments.
• Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher.
• Ensuring students complete the work set and stay focused on learning.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supporting students with their work and providing guidance as needed.
• Reporting concerns to relevant staff and promoting safety.
