Job summary

Kent Teaching Solutions is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in partner schools in England. The role involves supervising whole classes in the absence of the class teacher, delivering prepared lesson plans and maintaining school routines.

You should have initiative, strong classroom management, and the ability to relate to young people. Applicants may be experienced Cover Supervisors or recent graduates; all appointments require safeguarding checks and enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise whole classes using prepared plans.
• Willingness to participate in development and training opportunities.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and DBS checks processes.

Responsibilities

• To undertake whole class supervision in the absence of the class teacher, presenting lessons using plans previously prepared by the regular class teacher.
• To develop curricular knowledge as required by the school.
• To apply the school s Behaviour Management Policy and report any difficulties to the supervising teacher/head teacher.
• To set homework previously prepared by the teacher.
• To undertake observations of the pupils and contribute to pupil records where necessary.
