Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a Primary Teacher to join a warm, welcoming school in Eccles. You will teach across the primary curriculum, plan engaging lessons, and support pupils to thrive in a calm, inclusive environment.

We welcome both experienced teachers and ECTs, with roles available on day-to-day, short-term or long-term contracts. Strong relationships, pupil wellbeing and ambition are core to the school ethos.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to differentiate learning and respond effectively to individual pupil needs.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable.
• A proactive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering creative, engaging and well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Establishing a calm, inclusive classroom where pupils feel confident to participate and learn.
• Adapting lessons and resources to meet the differing abilities and needs of pupils.
• Providing appropriate support and challenge for pupils with SEND and other additional needs.
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and using this to inform future teaching.
• Developing positive relationships with pupils and encouraging them to become confident and independent learners.
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
• Working effectively alongside Teaching Assistants and other members of the school team.
• Contributing to the wider school community, activities and events.
• Maintaining effective communication with colleagues and parents/carers where appropriate.
