Job summary

Create Education is working with a welcoming 3-form entry primary school in Lewisham seeking a proactive Learning Support Assistant to join its supportive team.

You will work with class teachers across EYFS to KS2 delivering 1:1 support, small-group interventions and whole-class assistance to help pupils access the curriculum.

This role offers an immediate start and the chance to contribute to children’s academic and personal development within a busy primary school setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as TA or LSA in a primary school.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 support and small-group interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide whole-class support alongside the class teacher, helping pupils stay engaged.
• Deliver targeted small-group interventions in literacy, numeracy and other areas.
• Provide 1:1 support to pupils who require additional academic, emotional or behavioural assistance.
• Support children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, adapting to different ages and abilities.
• Assist teachers with lesson prep, classroom organisation and learning resources.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence in the classroom.
• Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs where required.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to class teachers.
• Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and the wider school team.
