Job summary

Randstad Education in Crawley area is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. You will help learners access the curriculum, adapt lessons to meet specific needs, and provide pastoral support as part of a collaborative school team.

You will ideally have experience supporting pupils with additional needs and be familiar with strategies to manage behaviours and support speech and language.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Ability to support learning across key stages and adapt materials.
• Awareness of safeguarding and SEN policies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups within and outside the classroom.
• Help pupils access the curriculum at an appropriate level.
• Monitor progress and feed back to staff as part of the wider team.
• Work closely with staff to address behavioural needs and support learning.

Learning Associate / Learning Support Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant practitioner to join an inclusive 11-18 school, providing key support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, both in and out of the classroom.

You’ll support pupils in accessing the curriculum at an appropriate level and adapting the learning to make it accessible for students with specific needs. This role also involves providing pastoral support, and you’ll monitor progress to feed back whilst working closely with relevant staff to ensure students can achieve to the fullest extent.

You will ideally have experience of supporting pupils with additional needs and utilising strategies to manage behaviours and meet needs, including supporting speech and language.

You’ll be able to make a key difference to a pupil’s educational experience as a crucial part of the wider team, and will have the opportunity to develop your skillset with key training and development opportunities available.

Awareness of Child Safeguarding and the latest SEN policies to implement effective provision, would be an advantage.
