Job summary

Academics is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support an EYFS class in Camden, starting October 2026. This full-time temporary role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping pupils learn and contributing to a positive classroom environment.

You will work closely with the class teacher, provide targeted support to individuals or small groups, and help maintain clear routines and a calm, inclusive atmosphere throughout the day.

Role: Learning Support Assistant
Start Date: October 2026
Location: Camden, London
Contract: Full time
Pay: £570 - £600 per week

Responsibilities

• As the Learning Support Assistant, support pupils within a EYFS class during lessons and structured activities
• Work alongside the class teacher to support learning, engagement and independence
• Provide targeted support to individuals or small groups when required
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and participation in learning
• Contribute to the smooth running of the classroom and daily routines

Requirements

• Experience supporting pupils as a Learning Support Assistant in a primary school setting.
• Experience working within EYFS
• Able to build positive, respectful relationships with pupils
• Calm, patient and supportive approach to learning
• Available full time for the duration of the role
