Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Newcastle for a Primary Classroom Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and involves working closely with class teachers to provide classroom and small-group support across EYFS to KS2, helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment and supporting children's learning and development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in school, nursery, childcare or youth settings.
• Patience, caring and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• Assist the class teacher with delivery of engaging lessons.
• Provide small-group and 1:1 support where required.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment.
• Encourage children's confidence, independence and social development.
• Support pupils with additional learning or emotional needs when necessary.
