Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Female PE Teacher to join a large secondary academy in Sheffield from November 2026 for half-term, full-time.

The role involves planning and delivering high quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, teaching a range of sports, and creating an inclusive, safe learning environment.

You will assess progress, provide feedback, support extracurricular activities, and contribute to a positive academy community with experienced recruitment consultants on hand.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of KS3/KS4 PE curriculum and effective lesson delivery.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3/KS4.
• Teach a range of sports and physical activities with inclusive practice.
• Create a positive, safe learning environment and manage student behaviour.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing timely feedback.
• Lead and support extracurricular sporting activities and contribute to department planning.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and collaborate with colleagues.
