Job summary

Randstad Education in Leeds is seeking a dynamic full-time Music Teacher to deliver KS3-4 music, including practical workshops and examinations preparation, with leadership of ensembles.

You will join a vibrant creative department, plan lessons, assess progress, and lead school concerts and clubs, while safeguarding and inclusion. QTS and DBS required; strong references; right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS clearance registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Two years of professional references.
• Eligibility to work full-time in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Assess student progress in composition, performance and listening skills.
• Lead lunch-time and after-school music clubs and ensembles.
• Coordinate school productions and concerts with the department.
• Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Oversee instrument care, maintenance and storage.
