Job summary

Kinetic Plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Fitter to join a small, fast-paced engineering team. The role focuses on mechanical assembly, light machinery fitting, and pneumatic systems, with flexibility as priorities shift daily.

Temporary role with potential to become permanent. Candidates should have several years hands-on fitting/assembly experience, be detail-oriented, and able to interpret drawings.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience.
• Experience in mechanical fitting/assembly and interpreting drawings from schematics.
• Desirable knowledge in lathe/milling and electrical aspects.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical fitting & assembly of light engineering machinery.
• Interpreting mechanical drawings and working from schematics.
• Pneumatics work including cylinders, slides, solenoid valves, pressure regulators.
• Small bore pipe fitting up to compression fittings.
• Support general workshop tasks as priorities shift.
