Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group Ltd is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a primary school in Lewisham. The role supports a Year 6 pupil with ADHD and SEMH, helping to regulate emotions and access learning in a calm, patient manner.

The ideal candidate will have experience with challenging behaviour and a resilient approach, working within a welcoming Ofsted-rated Outstanding environment from 7th September. The position is full-time and based on-site at the Lewisham school.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and consistently.
• Experience supporting pupils to access learning and regulate emotions.

Responsibilities

• Support a Year 6 pupil with ADHD/SEMH throughout the school day.
• Assist in transitions and re-engagement after breaks or lunchtime.
• Monitor behaviour, employ de-escalation techniques, and maintain a safe learning environment.
