Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join a friendly primary school in Maldon. You will support children in the EYFS through play and structured activities, helping them develop early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging activities, monitor progress, and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment. This is a full-time, long-term role with consistent hours and immediate start.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Experience in nursery/preschool/EYFS settings or primary school
• Warm, caring and patient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive and reliable with a passion for young learners
• Able to contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities

• Support children in the Early Years setting through play and structured activities
• Encourage social, emotional, and educational development
• Deliver engaging activities that promote curiosity and independence
• Support phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and communication development
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
• Assist with observations and monitoring of pupil progress
