Job summary

The Gateway Academy, part of the Gateway Learning Community in Thurrock, is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants on a permanent, part-time basis.

Working 32.5 hours per week during term time, you will support class teachers and the SENCo, focusing on SEND pupils, small groups, observation writing and student wellbeing.

This role offers a supportive team, local progression opportunities and a range of staff benefits while helping students reach their learning goals.

Qualifications

• Experience as a classroom practitioner supporting pupils with SEND.
• Ability to carry out and write up observations to inform needs.
• Proactive in identifying groups or individuals who may be behind in learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for small group provision and intervention for SEND pupils.
• Support emotional and social development of students.
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCo to adapt and plan activities.
