Job summary

Flourish Education is recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in a three-form-entry primary school in Telford. The role starts January 2027 and runs to April 2027, with potential extension for the right candidate.

You will lead lessons, support pupil progress and adapt approaches for different year groups, working with class teachers and the wider school team to provide high-quality learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Confident leading a class independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Recent UK school-based experience.
• DBS certificate Update Service or issued within last 12 months.
• Two strong references required.

Responsibilities

• Lead lessons confidently across year groups.
• Deliver engaging and creative lessons when required.
• Collaborate with teachers to support pupil progress.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage behaviour.
• Support pupils with learning via whole-class, small-group, and 1:1 activities.
• Follow lesson plans and school policies.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Adapt teaching to meet diverse needs.
