Job summary

Academics Ltd. seeks an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Bexley from October 2026. The successful candidate will work across KS1 and KS2, including 1:1 support, small groups, and leading whole-class learning when required.

The role requires HLTA experience or qualifications, strong classroom management, and excellent communication. A fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred, or be willing to apply for a new DBS.

Qualifications

• Hold HLTA experience or HLTA qualifications.
• Experience across KS1 and KS2.
• Comfortable supporting pupils 1:1, in groups and across whole-class settings.
• Flexible, enthusiastic and adaptable to different needs.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1, in groups, and whole-class learning when required.
