Job summary

Academics Ltd. seeks an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Bexley from October 2026. The successful candidate will work across KS1 and KS2, including 1:1 support, small groups, and leading whole-class learning when required.

The role requires HLTA experience or qualifications, strong classroom management, and excellent communication. A fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred, or be willing to apply for a new DBS.

Qualifications

• Hold HLTA experience or HLTA qualifications.

Phase: KS1 & KS2

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Bexley from October 2026.

The successful candidate will be confident working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and able to adapt their approach to support pupils in a variety of settings. You should be comfortable working 1:1 with individual pupils, with small or larger groups, and leading whole-class learning when required.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold relevant HLTA experience or qualifications.
• Have experience working across KS1 and/or KS2.
• Be confident supporting pupils 1:1, in groups and across whole-class settings.
• Be flexible, enthusiastic and able to adapt to different needs.
• Have strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Be committed to supporting pupils' learning, progress and wellbeing.
• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new enhanced DBS.
