Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Moorside, Oldham, from September. This is a full-time, term-time only role with HLTA pay scale dependent on experience.

The role covers EYFS and Key Stage 1, delivering high-quality lessons, providing classroom cover, planning with teachers, leading small group interventions, and supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or in a similar primary education role.
• Experience supporting children within EYFS and Key Stage 1.
• Confidence delivering lessons and managing a classroom environment.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and early years development.
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities across EYFS and KS1.
• Providing classroom cover and supporting pupils in the absence of the class teacher.
• Working closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences.
• Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development.
• Leading small group interventions to help pupils make progress.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a nurturing learning environment.
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
