Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Maths Tutor to join our centre-based team. The role focuses on delivering Maths up to Level 2 within a classroom environment and supporting learners to progress in skills and career goals.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Maths qualification, have experience delivering functional skills, and be willing to work towards a Level 5 Teaching qualification. A passion for training and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths.
• Must hold Level 3 Maths qualification.
• Experience training small groups of learners.
• Willingness to work towards Level 5 Teaching qualification.
• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Confident, tenacious and able to use own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths within a classroom environment (up to Level 2).
• Utilise existing delivery resources and plan own materials as needed.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• Be flexible with delivery methods and adapt to learners' needs.
• Assist learners in identifying skills to progress towards careers.
• Motivate learners with energy and passion to realise their potential.
• Promote Equality, Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
