Job summary

The Family Support Worker role at Civic Recruitment Limited’s Interventions Hub is a 3-month temporary contract based at Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff. Hybrid working with 2–3 days in the office and a rate of £18.92 per hour (Umbrella) applies, with bi-weekly pay.

This post focuses on early intervention to support children, young people and families, improving wellbeing and resilience, and preventing escalation to more intensive services.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS is essential.
• Experience working with children, young people, and families; delivering family support, early intervention or preventative services.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence and sole use of a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct support and interventions to children, young people, and families.
• Build positive and effective relationships with families.
• Support parents to develop skills, confidence, and parenting capacity.
• Promote positive family relationships and reduce the risk of family breakdown.
• Collaborate with professionals and agencies to coordinate support.
