Job summary

Stockport Council is seeking an Events Assistant to join the Stockport Events Team across venues such as Stockport Town Hall, Bramall Hall and Chadkirk Chapel. The role includes a 37-hour, full-time rota with evening and weekend work and a 24-month temporary contract.

You will greet guests, handle inquiries, assist with event delivery and ensure smooth operations from start to finish. 18+ and customer-focused, you’ll thrive in a lively setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or events preferred.
• Friendly, professional and excellent customer service.
• 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers and clients.
• Answer enquiries by phone and email and provide reception cover.
• Assist with event delivery, set-up and on-site support.
• Support bar and food service during events.
• Help with event set-up, clear-down and guest coordination.
• Assist with housekeeping and general cleaning tasks.
• Provide first aid when required.
