Job summary

Flourish Education are recruiting for an English Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Dudley. The role offers a supportive, collaborative environment focused on raising attainment and developing students’ literacy skills.

You will teach KS3 and KS4 English, including English Language and English Literature, with responsibilities for planning, assessment and marking. Experience with GCSE preparation is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Secondary English – ECTs are also welcome to apply.
• Previous experience teaching English, English Language or English Literature at secondary level.
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and GCSE assessment requirements.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A passion for developing pupils’ reading, writing and oracy skills.
• The ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities

• You will take on full class teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment and marking, while building positive relationships with students and creating an engaging learning environment.
