Job summary

Flourish Education are seeking an experienced English Teacher to work within a Secondary School in Worcester. The role involves delivering English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4, preparing students for GCSE examinations, and differentiating instruction to meet diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
• Good understanding of the National Curriculum and GCSE English specifications.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A genuine commitment to supporting the education and development of young people.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE English examinations.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of individual learners.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to support student development.
• Develop students' literacy, reading and communication skills.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour within the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with the English Department and wider school team.
