Job summary

Saint Gregory's Catholic College is seeking a Cover Supervisor to take charge of whole classes during short-term teacher absences and to contribute to student support and administrative tasks within the student services team.

The role requires strong classroom management, experience with children and young people, and a flexible, team-oriented approach. Term-time permanent appointment with some INSET days and 32.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Applicants must possess a minimum of five GCSE passes at Grade C or equivalent including literacy and numeracy and have the ability to safely manage classroom activities and the physical learning space.
• Experience of individual or group work with children and young people, ideally within a school setting.
• Experience of individual work or group work with children, young people and families

Responsibilities

• Take charge of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Provide learning support to students when not required for cover.
• Offer administration support to colleagues as part of the student support provision.
