Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills are essential.
• Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students.
• Confidence working independently and managing groups of students.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and expectations.
• Support students with their learning and respond to questions where appropriate.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress, behaviour, and lesson outcomes.
