Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Hillingdon. The role involves supervising classes (KS3- KS4) in the absence of teachers, delivering pre-planned lessons, and ensuring students complete work in a supportive environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience with young people, strong communication and classroom management, and the ability to work independently with groups aged 11-16.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in schools or related settings.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Confident working with groups aged 11–16.
• Professional, flexible and proactive approach.
• DBS checks or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 during teacher absences.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students complete work.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
• Supporting schools with day-to-day, short-term, and long-term cover requirements.
