Job summary

Ribblesdale School in Clitheroe is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to join our supportive team. You will cover for short-term staff absences across subjects at our secondary site, delivering lessons set by the class teacher, keeping pupils engaged and on task.

The role requires strong classroom management, reliability and the ability to work well within a busy school environment. You should be confident, flexible and capable of building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Excellent numeracy, literacy, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Confident, flexible and able to deliver work set by the usual classroom teacher.
• Able to work well within a team and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover for short-term staff absence across a range of subjects at the secondary site.
• Ensure lessons run smoothly and pupils remain engaged in their learning.
• Supervise classes effectively, maintaining discipline and safeguarding.
