Job summary

CER Education Recruitment is seeking an engaging Cover Supervisor for secondary schools in the St Helens area to start in September 2026. You will deliver planned lessons and use available resources within the classroom, supporting students aged 11-16.

The role offers weekly PAYE, a supportive consultant from CER, CPD opportunities, and a generous referral scheme. Daily pay rates range from £100 to £130 depending on qualifications and experience, with pay inclusive of holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Experience of group management of 11-18 year olds.
• Excellent and proven behaviour management experience.
• Shown commitment to learning and development of pupils.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver secondary subjects to ages 11-16.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and cover teaching using available resources within the classroom.
• Promote and push the students to achieve the expectations set in the absence of the teacher.
