Job summary

CER Education Recruitment is seeking an engaging Cover Supervisor for secondary schools in the St Helens area to start in September 2026. You will deliver planned lessons and use available resources within the classroom, supporting students aged 11-16.

The role offers weekly PAYE, a supportive consultant from CER, CPD opportunities, and a generous referral scheme. Daily pay rates range from £100 to £130 depending on qualifications and experience, with pay inclusive of holiday entitlement.

Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor

• Deliver secondary subjects to ages 11-16;

• Promote and push the students to achieve the expectations set in the absence of the teacher.

Must have:

I am working with a number of secondary schools in the St. Helens area that require an engaging Cover Supervisor for roles starting in September 2026. The role is to work within a school setting were work will be provided and you will use it to deliver the lesson. The daily rate for this role is from £100 - £130 per day. Pay rate is dependant on level of qualifications, experience and additional training. Advertised rate of pay is inclusive of holiday pay.
